Executive coach and former CISO. Chris Brown works with cybersecurity executives at the moments that define their leadership: stepping into a new role, building toward the seat, or expanding impact in an established one.
He brings to that work what most coaches in this space do not: direct experience as a CISO, ongoing research into how cybersecurity leaders are seen by the executives and boards around them, and a coaching practice grounded in your context — not a framework built for someone else's situation.
Chris holds the ACC credential from the International Coaching Federation and is a Certified Executive Coach through the Center for Executive Coaching. His writing on cybersecurity leadership has appeared in Directors & Boards, BoardIQ, the Financial Times, and Fast Company. Clients include executives from Nike, HPE, O'Reilly Media, EY, and Fortune 500 institutions across healthcare, financial services, retail, government, law, and professional services.
Prior to executive coaching, Chris spent 20 years as a management consultant, executive for hire to the Fortune 100, designing decade-horizon strategy for the Fortune 10, and a was former CISO himself.
He previously held several security, risk, and audit, credentials, including the CISA and CRISC, and was among the earliest CISSP.

New Cyber Executive works with cybersecurity executives at three points of inflection: those building toward the CISO seat, those stepping into it, and those expanding their impact in an established role.
Engagements are conducted through Transition Blueprint and Open Pathways.
